I go to work an hour earlier or even more, because, I hate being late, and I also don't want to waste my time at work, by not leaving on time. I hate rendering forced overtime, but, sometimes, we have no choice. The travel time that I spend each day is around 4-5 hours, from malabon to ortigas, back and forth. These things should be recognized by employers... But work smartly is better. Before I'm a working-hard employee. I used to burn my midnight candle in working and finishing my assigned job. But I realized later it did not make sense. My body was greatly affected. When I got sick my employer didn't mind my A-1 working output. He would rather put somebody to work for me. Now I work smartly. I organize my job. Doing them as expected by getting into overtime. Going home on time. Spend quality with my wife and my children. So realize: work is work.
